Air Inuit Haiti fundraiser a big success
First of all, we would like to thank Air Inuit for donating two return airline tickets and the participants who purchased raffle tickets.
The fundraiser was a complete success. We raised $11,000 and Air Inuit matched it, for a total of $22,000.
All the funds went to Haiti relief. We donated the funds to the Red Cross just in time for the federal government to match it on Feb. 12.
A big thank you also to the ladies who helped with the fundraiser throughout Nunavik, and thank you to the Inuit organizations.
The community of Tasiujaq donated a huge amount to the fundraiser, Nakurmiimarialu iluunnasi.
The lucky winner of the raffle was Lucy Kritik from Tasiujaq. Congratulations!
