Spring warmer, wetter for parts of Nunavut: meteorologists
Many can expect "above normal conditions"
While meteorologists at the Weather Network predicted March 5 that most of Canada will experience a near normal spring this year, they said some regions can expect patterns that fall outside of the normal averages.
A milder trend is likely for central and eastern Canada, while much of western Canada will be cooler than normal.
The central sections of Nunavut can expect above normal conditions, meteorologists said.
Above normal precipitation is likely in southeastern Northwest Territories as well as central Baffin Island.
Near normal precipitation is forecast elsewhere.
For Iqaluit, temperatures and precipitation are likely to be normal. The average spring temperature for the city is -14.3 C, with 76.9 mm of precipitation — that is, either snow or rain.
