Inuit Circumpolar Council president Okalik Eegeesiak speaks to delegates at the three-day Arctic Circle Forum in Nuuk, Greenland, which wrapped up May 19. The Arctic Circle Forum is one of the largest international gatherings focused on circumpolar issues and economic development in the Arctic. Coordinated by the Government of Greenland, the forum drew delegates from across Canada’s north, including Nunavut and Nunavik, to discuss resource develop and tourism in Arctic regions, health and well-being and the role Arctic universities can play in development.
