NUNATSIAQ NEWS
The Taylor family — mother Mona, father Dave and daughter Deanna — drop the puck at the start of the annual Kitikmeot Cup in Cambridge Bay March 11. The hockey tournament features teams from Gjoa Haven, Kugaaruk, Kugluktuk, Taloyoak and Cambridge Bay and finishes on March 16 at Ookpik Youth Community Arena. The arena was recently renamed in honour of Deanna's brother Nathan Ookpik Taylor, an avid hockey player who died in a motor vehicle accident in 2011. (PHOTO BY DENISE LEBLEU IMAGES)
