Steam billowed from smouldering hot spots in Iqaluit's overflowing garbage dump just before noon Dec. 12, following a fire that kept fire-fighters busy from about 2:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. Iqaluit's municipal enforcement department has closed the West 40 road today and the city asks residents not to take garbage to the dump.
