About 50 people brave rain and cold weather to come to Iqaluit Square during the evening of Sept. 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, to attend a candlelight vigil. Its goal: to raise awareness about the high rates of suicide in Nunavut and to remember those who’ve died by committing suicide. “We have to do something about it and help each other in Nunavut," says Susie Joanasie, who came out to the event.
