Photo: Seeing science in action at Nunavik science fair

Nathasha Annanack sees how much water she can drop on the surface of a penny during a mini-demonstration of surface tension at a science fair held Feb. 22 at Kangiqsualujjuaq's Ulluriaq School. In all, 22 teams for Grade Five to Secondary Five (the equivalent of Grade 11 in Nunavut) participated in the fair. Of these teams, only one will be chosen to represent the school next month in Kuujjuaq at a province-wide competition with Quebec's association for science and engineering, l'Association québécoise autochtone en science et en ingénierie.
