A forklift lifts a crate Aug. 7 in Iqaluit brought in by the Nunavut Eastern Arctic Shipping company's vessel, the Qamutik, seen in the background. Cargo has slowly been coming off vessels when it's been safe to unload. "We’ve been discharging as best we can," said NEAS spokesperson Suzanne Paquin. "We are adapting to these very unusual ice conditions in Iqaluit this year. It shows that arctic sealift is an extreme business."
