Health and Social Services Minister Keith Peterson unveils the new Nunavut birth certificate at the Legislative Assembly June 5. The certificates are ready to go as of today, and have security features to help protect against identify theft, not unlike the new $100 and $50 dollar bills. They are printed on polymer paper with a clear transparent window.
