NUNATSIAQ NEWS
Neil Christopher, a veteran instructor with the Nunavut Teacher Education Program, is leaving his job at Nunavut Arctic College after a decade to give all his energy to another project: Inhabit Media. Christopher helped found Nunavut’s only publishing house in 2006. It went on on to publish 150 English and Inuktitut-language books. Christopher has also been in discussions with the Aboriginal Peoples’ Television Network about developing a bilingual pre-school television program for Nunavut. “We thank Neil for his service to the education P\programs division of Nunavut Arctic College and wish him well as Inhabit Media moves forward with growth initiatives and new approaches to promoting Nunavut,” Arctic College said in a May 6 release.
