Kangiqsualujjuaq Canadian Ranger Johnny Sam Annanack, second from right, receives the third clasp June 22 in Montreal, a Canadian Forces decoration honouring his 42 years of service. Accompanying Annanack is his daughter and fellow Canadian Ranger Mary Annanack, Brigadier-General Stéphane Lafaut, far left, and Chief Warrant Officer David Tofts, at right. Annanack was one of four Nunavimmiut Rangers honoured at the Montreal event, alongside Kuujjuaq Rangers Johnny Peters, Sammy Cooper and Cpl. Sandy Gordon.
