NUNATSIAQ NEWS
Nunasi Corporation is feeling the holiday spirit: the Inuit and Nunavut-owned business development firm has donated $500 to each of the territory's 25 communities in Nunavut to go towards Christmas celebrations. Tungasuvvingat Inuit in Ottawa will also receive the same donation, along with Inuit patient boarding homes Larga Baffin in Ottawa, Larga Kivalliq in Winnipeg, Larga Ltd. in Edmonton and Larga Kitikmeot in Yellowknife. While Nunavut's hamlets are busy planning holiday games and dances, the Larga homes will also be hosting Christmas celebrations for the patients who won't be in their home communities during the holidays.
