Environment officer Leesee Papatsie goes over the finer details of cleaning and preparing Arctic char to make "pitsi," or dried fish, July 19. The seminar, taking place in Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park near Iqaluit, is part of a summer series of lectures on Inuit culture and basic outdoor skills by Nunavut's Department of Environment. Federal fisheries biologist Chris Lewis was also on hand to explain the types of samples collected by biologists studying the fish population at Sylvia Grinnell.
