Meet the first-ever recipients of Kuujjuaq's Citizenship Awards, which were handed out April 7. From left, Ulaayu Pilurtuut (represented here by Alec Gordon), Jennifer Lapage, Sandy Gordon Jr., Elisapie Tukkiapik, Johnny E. Watt, Etua Snowball, Louisa Whiteley-Tukkiapik and Jessie Mesher received awards at a Katittavik town hall event, along with Martha Greig, Sammy Koneak and Susie Koneak, who weren't in attendance.
