Yellowknife-born Jay Gilday, a singer-songwriter who now lives in Edmonton, performs in Rankin Inlet Jan. 24 as part of the Alianait Concert Series. Gilday put on a show in Iqaluit the previous weekend. Gilday's wife Lana, home caring for four children, had to wait an extra few days for her husband to return to Edmonton because of stormy weather in the Kivalliq which saw winds gusting from 50 km/h to 70 km/h throughout the region, making air travel impossible.
