NUNATSIAQ NEWS
December in the Arctic is a time of darkness but Charlie and Naomi Komoartok of Pangnirtung are doing their part to bring colour and holiday magic to their community. With a moondog hanging overhead, the heavens seem to approve. Nunatsiaq News would like to thank all our letter writers, commenters and those who have contributed stories and photos during 2016. You made us better. Those contributors include: Clare Kines, Sarah Meeko, David Kilabuk, Isabelle Dubois, Frank Reardon, Darren Brooks, Maggie Putulik, Denise Lebleu, Eric Anoee, Noel Kaludjak, Gordy Kidlapik, Ron Wassink, Mark Aspland and Nunavut Images, Niore Iqalukjuak, Aimo Paniloo, Doug McLarty, Red Sun Productions, Brian Tattuinee, Bernard Ungalaaq Maktar, Lars Qaqqaq, Allen Gordon, Kelly Buell, Courtney Edgar, David Murphy, James Morton, Tristan Brand and Claude Constantineau. Apologies to anyone we might have forgotten. Barring emergencies and breaking news, Nunatsiaqonline.ca will not be updated until Jan. 3. We wish all our readers, followers and advertisers a peaceful and joyous holiday season. (PHOTO BY DAVID KILABUK)
