Flames surge from the second-floor windows of unit 303 in Iqaluit's Creekside Village at 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 27. Firefighters continued to spray water from their hoses in an attempt to keep the fire from jumping to the next block of row houses. The RCMP and firefighters remained at the scene, police said during the early morning. Police also warned traffic will be disrupted in the area until fire crews no longer require water to battle the blaze. Schools and many child care facilities in Iqaluit are closed Feb. 27, due to the extreme windchills and the road disruptions in the city.
