Photo: Cambridge Baymiut take the annual plunge

NUNATSIAQ NEWS
Cambridge Bay residents race into the frigid ocean water in front of Cambridge Bay July 21 in the community's annual Polar Bear Dip fundraising event. All the money raised at the Polar Bear Dip, organized by the Hamlet of Cambridge Bay aquatics staff, and the barbecue that followed is for a new multi-use facility in Cambridge Bay. Only 15 people were registered for the bitterly cold dip, but more than 20 swimmers showed up for the annual event on a partly cloudy day with a high of 11 degrees Celsius. (PHOTO BY KELCEY WRIGHT)
