Elder Elisapee Ishulutak and Jennifer Demcheson play traditional Inuit games on Nunavut Day in Iqaluit July 9. As part of this year's 15th anniversary celebration of the territory and the land claim, organizers set up a makeshift outpost camp so visitors could see what it might have looked like when Inuit still lived on the land, not so long ago. Aaju Peter and Solomon Awa were also part of the re-enactment. Along with playing Inuit games and making traditional tools, actors demonstrated how sealskins were traditionallly softened by chewing.
