Police seize 140 grams of marijuana
Police in Nunavut have charged an Igloolik resident with trafficking marijuana following a drug seizure.
Members of the Igloolik RCMP detachment arrested a person found in possession of more than 140 grams of marijuana April 8, the RCMP said in an April 16 news release.
The person, whose name police have not released, was charged with trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, was released from custody, and is to appear in Nunavut court June 4 in Igloolik.
In the release, police thanks concerned citizens for the help in the investigation, and encouraged Nunavummiut to call the RCMP at 867-857-0123 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 if they have information about a crime.
