KSB prez resigns

IQALUIT Last Friday the president of the Kativik School Board,
Markusi Qinuajuak, resigned.
Qinuajuak, who had served as school board president since 1998,
said he stepped down for personal reasons.
I will continue to actively support education and the school
board, he said.
"However, I will now concentrate my attention on my family,
trying to make up for the time I was away during the past few
years.
Larry Watt, the boards vice-president, will assume the
duties of president on an interim basis.
The KSB commissioners will discuss Qinuajuaks replacement
at their meeting later this month in Kuujjuaq.
