IQALUIT — Next Saturday the Inuit Art Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting Inuit artists, will host its annual qaggiq — a celebration of Inuit art and culture.

The event will take place at the foundation’s Ottawa offices in the Country Place Plaza on Merivale Road.

This year’s qaggiq will showcase artists from the Western Arctic communities of Tuktoyaktuk, Holman and Inuvik. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 29 there will be carving and printmaking demonstrations, a slide show, an Inuit art show and sale, country food and Inuit music.
