Educators meet in Kuujjuaq

IQALUIT — Circumpolar educators are set to meet in Quebec City and Kuujjuaq when Quebec’s education department and the Kativik School Board jointly host the biennial Circumpolar Education Conference.

On Sept. 24 delegates to the conference will gather in Quebec City. Two days later they will fly on to Kuujjuaq to continue their discussions.

Among the issues on the conference agenda are new technologies, teacher education, student motivation, traditional knowledge, the need for educational reform and the development of an interactive circumpolar Web site.
