IQALUIT If its not one thing, its another.
Following one the warmest Julys on record, Iqaluit waded through
the second wettest August in 56 years.
According to data from Environment Canada, the city logged 123.8
milimetres of rain, nearly twice the monthly average of 63.5 mm.
With rain on 26 of the 31 days of the month, Nunavuts capital
suffered its second rainiest August on record.
Despite all the water, the summer was still warmer than normal,
with an average temperature of 7 C. That made it Iqaluits
10th warmest summer on record.
