Nunavik showcase to open

IQALUIT A Quebec City building will soon showcase Nunavik's culture and
products.
The building, at 555 Grande-Allée East in the heart of
the Upper Town tourist district, is owned by the Makivik Corporation.
It is currently undergoing renovations.
The ground floor will be outfitted as a centre for information
on Nunavik's organizations, products and attractions.
"It's in a prime location, and we want to take advantage
of it," said Johnny Adams, chairman of the Kativik Regional
Government.
The building will also house offices for the Kativik Regional
Government and the Nunavik Commission.
Regional organizations will pick up around a third of the Nunavik
Showcase's $261,000 cost. The rest is to be paid out of Quebec's
economic diversification fund.
