George River boy saves sister

Nunatsiaq News

GEORGE RIVER — Young Marc Adams, 5, of Kangiqsualujjuaq is credited with saving the life of his younger sister, Suzanne, 4.

Two weeks ago, Marc managed to grab his sister as she slipped into a fishing hole while the family was ice-fishing. Marc held on to her, stopping her from disappearing into the water.

The childrenís mother, who was fishing nearby, noticed their distress, and fished Suzanne out of the hole. Suzanne has since made a full recovery.

In comments to the Montreal Gazette, Marcís father, Bernie Adams, credited his son's quick reflexes to his skill at playing Nintendo games.
